Skien Terminal
Skien Port Terminal is a versatile industrial terminal equipped for handling project cargo, heavy lift, general cargo and dry bulk. With robust infrastructure and experienced operators, it supports both standard and complex logistics operations.
The terminal serves as a strategic logistics hub for regional industry and Nordic supply chains, and offers warehouse rental and outdoor storage for companies requiring flexible, long-term solutions.
Tenants and facilities
Skien Port Terminal offers a diverse mix of facilities and tenants, supporting both industrial operations and advanced logistics.
In 2019, a 2,000 m² Site Integration Test (SIT) Hall was built on-site, with a casing height of 27.5 metres and a load capacity of 10 tonnes per square metre. The hall is currently leased to Agility Subsea Fabrication.
The terminal also includes three warehouses and two large insulated tents, providing a total of 12,500 m² of indoor storage capacity. Among the key tenants is ColliFlow, a third-party logistics provider operating a state-of-the-art AutoStore robotic warehouse solution.
An additional 50,000 m² of outdoor space is available for storage and terminal-related activities.
Port of Grenland has also facilitated the establishment of nearby premises for Stena Recycling and Statnett, further strengthening the area’s industrial ecosystem.
Waste management
Brevik Terminal provides waste reception facilities with containers for small volumes of hazardous waste, residual waste and paper. These are scaled to local needs and the number of vessels at berth.
All ships must register waste deliveries in advance via SafeSeaNet Norway.
For larger volumes of waste – including oil waste, sewage or greywater – disposal must be arranged via a shipping agent or directly with Norsk Gjenvinning Industri at +47 987 09 700.
Here is our document on the handling of ship-generated waste at Skien Terminal.
